Vincent Barbaras has been contacting other Barbaras researchers and Barbaras families throughout France and beyond, collecting their genealogical data. He has assembled this data into the computer database, currently containing over 2200 names, that is featured on this Web site.
When I met Vincent during his visit to Boston, he was working in Colmar, France as the Director General of Vialis, which handles utilities, cable television, and Internet services for Colmar and outlying towns. In 2003, he accepted a new position at Electricité de France and is currently stationed in Nancy. His grandfather is from Henridorff, in the Lorraine region. In 2005, a French newspaper, The Latest News from Alsace, published an account of the reunion of the Henridorff branch of the Barbaras family. |
