Obituary of Bernadette Barbaras

Bernadette M. Barbaras, 92, a resident of the Samaritan Bethany Home and a retired hospital comptroller, died Monday evening at the nursing home following a lengthy illness.

Miss Barbaras was born March 20, 1896, at Harpers Ferry, Iowa. During her working career, she was a railroad telegrapher, later working for a bank and then as the comptroller for Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich. She retired from this position in 1956, moving to Algona, Iowa. She moved to Rochester in 1982.

There are no immediate survivors. Six sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
