Mrs. Julia Jacobson, wife of John H. Jacobson, died Sunday at her Vermillion Street home after a long and severe illness which became acute a month ago when complications developed. Mrs. Jacobson's illness had extended over a period of years preventing her from a closer association with her friends and from participating in church affairs which held so much interest for her.

... Left to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother are Mr. Jacobson and daughter, Adelia. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Alma Brandenbourger of International Falls.

The daughter of George and Harriet Barbaras, pioneers in the history of Hastings, Mrs. Jacobson, nee Julia Barbaras, was born September 20, 1872 in Hastings... The couple took up their residence in the Barbaras home on Vermillion street, the home in which Mrs. Jacobson was born and in which she spent the subsequent years of her life...
