Mrs. Alma Brandenbourger, widow of J. P. Brandenbourger, a resident of Hastings for the first 63 years of her life, passed away early Saturday morning ... International Falls, Minn. Mrs. Brandenbourger had suffered with a heart ailment for some time, becoming worse during the last three months.

Hampton, Minn. was the birthplace of Mrs. Brandenbourger, the former Alma Barbaras, on October 20, 1863. Her family came to Hastings a year or so later where her father, the late George Barbaras took a leading part in the development and growth of Hastings, being banker and lawyer and also holding the office of mayor for several years. She was married in 1888 to J. P. Brandenbourger and the couple had four children, two of whom are left to mourn the death of her mother...
